Some people forget to drink.
I can go days without remembering to drink water, though I consume other drinks in the meantime

First past the post (aka winner take all) election system. It’s one of the worst systems, but somewhat common. The US is a notable user of it.
So most of them, relative to younger people. Median boomer in the US is almost a millionaire and boomers collectively own 52% of the US. People over 55 own 73%. Majority of them benefit from whatever publicly traded corpos do because they have retirement funds.
People over 55 own 73% of the US, heavily outweighing billionaires. Boomers alone outweigh billionaires assets by nearly 10x. Any time you see BlackRock, Vanguard, etc as major shareholders of a company, that means it’s mostly boomers’ 401ks and pension funds. Billionaires themselves are mostly old so really they’re just the top of the iceberg of a much larger problem.
Gen X might be the last generation to retire in the US, for millennials it’s starting to look unlikely. There just aren’t enough people to exploit anymore. Ideally everyone should have 3 kids, but as an interim solution you can start importing workers from 3rd world countries.
Other western countries may not have it as bad with the imbalance, but most are growing worse over time.

If we’re going to ban fossil fuels 100%, we need EVs to work for everyone. If we don’t ban fossil fuels altogether, people can continue driving old cars which is bad. I know I will.

Hibernation was useful when people shut down their machines (like, actually shut down, not sleep) and getting any process started was a slow ordeal. Nowadays you don’t really turn your computer off anyway. Windows doesn’t by default, at least. Newer laptops often don’t even support real sleep, you’re expected to keep them running 24/7.

And they wish you to understand that you should be prepared to pay more for better optimised software, but you’re not. If it takes significantly more time AND more experienced devs to build native applications versus webview based, the cost of building native might be as much as 5x more, but you can’t raise the price and you won’t get any additional sales, because people may complain, but nobody would pay extra for better performance.

Which one? Or, like, all of them? Naaaah.

The thing is the trained professional costs 300k a year (100k in low-income areas like Europe) to employ and a z.ai coding plan sub lowest tier is like 20 bucks a month and makes a ton of mistakes but works at least 10x faster so you get much faster iteration.

I’ll let my friends living in apartments know they can run an extension cord from the 5th floor then lol, I’m sure there’s nothing unsafe about that.
Daily mileage isn’t the only factor either. I’m not sure why I would pay 30k for a used EV if it costs almost the same to charge per 100km as a diesel car worth under 2k takes to refuel per 100 km but takes much more time to do so. EVs start making more sense for people in apartments when public fast charging is nearly free, like charging at home is.

100k km is physically impossible to drive in a day, maybe you mean “in a single year”?
If you mean 100k meters (not sure why you just wouldn’t use km as an unit then), I have a few 200 km days a week, but the actual range anxiety comes from the fact that in the winter an EV loses a ton of range and if I need to use a public charger, I might as well just drive my current car instead of paying 15x as much to get into an used EV, since public charging is almost as expensive as diesel fuel.

Okay, now what about the people who don’t live in SFHs? I could charge at home most nights if I had an EV, but a lot of people literally can’t install chargers.
Legal requirements, KYC doesn’t kick in from 0, but it does after a few hundred or thousand
That’s not a trick, that’s a legal requirement. They have to do KYC on a few grand and AML once it gets bigger. I had to go through this with Wise when I received a life insurance payout from another continent and I had to phone customer support to get it cleared.
There are over 300 million Americans for one and pretty much each of those is a problem, polluting more than nearly any other country per capita. Plus they chose to elect the guy who promised untold wars.
Those “100 people” mostly run American (not all - some are European or Chinese or Saudi too) publicly traded companies owned mostly by pension funds and 401ks. So mostly it’s Americans, older Americans in particular, benefitting from all that. Those people are there to take the flak so you don’t realize that most people in wealthy companies are profiting off the destruction of the planet and everyone’s way of life needs to change, which is why it can only be done by law. Ban air travel for one, or limit it to say 6 flights per person per year (including connection flights). Ban any fossil fuel powered transport, electric generation, fertiliser production and so on. And this needs to happen globally everywhere at once, otherwise whoever doesn’t take part of the ban has an unfair advantage over everyone else.
Gets kinda cold in the winter though now doesn’t it

Can you mathematically prove it’s impossible?

Being able to prove a positive doesn’t imply being able to prove a negative.

A year or two they couldn’t even fool the average viewer though. To prove a video is real you’d also have to prove there’s no model out there in the world (including in private testing) that could create a good enough fake.
The younger one, not the one in jail. And yes, it’s pretty common that if you don’t fix every single issue in one election cycle, the entrenched ring wing takes control back to claim credit for the things you did improve.
There was also tons of anti Lula propaganda flying around the last few years l believe.
