Fair enough. Good catch but at the least, what should/could have been a period of substantial growth in USPS revenue from 2006-2022 ended up being a period of time which has substantially crippled their operations.

I’d argue that’s half their function

You’re right, but you have to consider what USPS has to contend with. Its not the fault of USPS as a government provided service.
They need to fully fund their employees retirement health benefits 75 years into the future unlike any other company. This destroyed any sort of year-year operation funding they had in the oughts. So when they would have been able to reinvest into keeping services timely and efficient, instead they were forced to kick the can down the road to focus on retiree benefits for every single postal worker in the branch.
Package volume increased from roughly 3 billion in 2006 to 7.3 billion in 2025. Package volume in USPS essentially doubled while national package volume increased somewhere in the range of 10x. Which shows that companies like UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Amazon captured a majority of the market growth due to their liquidity and better margins. USPS is forced to deliver to every domestic address so they’re stuck with tougher delivery routes that cost more while the other private delivery companies hoover up lower cost/simpler deliveries. All while the primary revenue driver of first-class mail dropped like a rock due to the rise in email traffic.
This is all ignoring the fact that congress won’t allow them to upgrade their delivery fleet. They’ve been forced to manage their fleet of Grumman LLVs from 1986 as though its the ship of Theseus. They want and everyone else wants them to upgrade but they’ve been hamstrung time and time again by lawsuits and Oshkosh’s own inability to build an electric truck. Instead their deliveries still rely on trucks last built in 1994, making them at least 32 years old at this point, with no airbags, no A/C, and getting 8mpg.

Real Occam’s Razor sort of situation though

I’d bet my life savings you don’t actually feel this strongly about honey bees. And secondly, honey bees don’t need “invasive agriculture” to survive or produce honey. They produce honey just fine from natural wildflowers and wildflowers benefit all the same from pollination.

That’d be very illegal and you’d 100% charged and prosecuted, but I agree with the sentiment

Dr. Gray Anatomy but they brought him back in a later episode by explaining that it was actually his twin brother that died in the explosion.

Friendly reminder that it’s the most improvised
MacGyver is fucked

That was a fun little county fair roller coaster ride. Well worth the 2 tickets.

Hopefully not

Doesn’t Azure run on Linux?

Nobody would be stupid enough to suggest that the Trump administration is stupid enough to do all of these things.

That was my first thought too lol

The United States is older than Italy. Italy wasn’t a unified nation until 1871. The United States became a country in 1776. And Italians did segregate into ethnic centers of cities in the United States. Chicago, New York, and St. Louis all have heavy italian presence within certain neighborhoods but even still lost their language. Italian dialects are not the same as regional accents. The nationalization of the italian language was still underway well into the 20th century. The Florentine dialect was only spoken by about 10% of the population in the 1870’s at most. It wasn’t until mass market radio and TV came along that it began to rapidly spread.

That’s a symptom of the cultural identity of italy. Italy as a nation is still very new. When italian emigrants left for other countries there was no national language. Italy was a kingdom of dialects. That’s why there’s millions of italian americans that don’t speak the language. Even if italian immigrants lived in common communities in their new countries, they may not know the dialect of their neighbors. So instead, they learned the local language and let their dialect die so they could communicate.

Yeah…no shit. We were promised PSLF and a fair income-driven repayment plan under Biden’s SAVE plan. In my situation that would have been $0 monthly payments for me and my wife over the course of our 10 years in public service as healthcare professionals. Essentially making our secondary education free for the exchange of being a net benefit to our community’s health and well-being.
Instead, since the SAVE plan was put in forbearance and is now looking like it’s going to be dismantled, we’ll have lost about a year’s worth of PSLF eligible payments, our monthly payments are going from $0 to about $500/mo, and as of now there’s no buyback on the lost term. Mohela knew what it was getting into by servicing all PSLF borrower’s loans. They consolidate the loans and in turn the federal government guarantees payment in full for a majority of those borrowers. Thus, Mohela doesn’t have to litigate wage garnishment on delinquent accounts. The fucking rug pull here is illegal and I plan to litigate. The SAVE plan allowed me the financial flexibility to purchase a house with a 30 year mortgage and finance a used vehicle to reliably get to work so of course I took that opportunity. It’d be stupid NOT to. There’s a reason all these college-educated people are delinquent. I’m just fortunate that I was VERY careful not to overextend myself back in 2020 knowing another Republican presidential candidate may try to fuck me. I didn’t think it would be Trump again.

That’s already happened. Ronald Reagan was a big fan of SciFi and created a think tank of SciFi authors to advise him on potential threats of the future.

That’s what I call beating my children. Those mines aren’t going to dig themselves.
No worries. I understood and upvoted. This isn’t reddit so I tend to give everyone the benefit of doubt when it comes to connotation unless they prove otherwise. I took it as a point of information rather than an attempt to disprove or invalidate.
