The main reason I ended up with another Pixel phone was for the spam filtering. A couple calls a day go straight to the automated answering service (where I can see the speach-to-text response of the caller on the screen) or get blocked completely. Text messages typically come through, but they’re less annoying, and I can add them to a spam list.


Things like this are why I like Lemmy people.
I’ve seen this briefly pop up while looking up linux stuff online recently. Wondered what it was, thank you Lemmy community for some enlightenment!


While it came out 22 years ago, State of the Union still feels like it could have been written for now.
Yeah, the bottom of the beaker was probably wet. I’ve seen them scoot sideways a little as the moisture flashes off but never all the way off a hotplate though.


I know what you mean about it taking your breath away. Took a sip of lab grade anhydrous ethanol once (200 proof), really do not recommend it. My lips and gums burned, and my tongue shriveled as the ethanol sucked up all the moisture in my mouth. Nothing good about it.

This and “Billy’s Balloon” are my favorites. I laugh every every time I see it, and they’ve been around for decades.
