For some religious people, lust is a hard sin to fight. A gym can be a tough place to ignore it. It’s not hard to understand some people like some time in a place where people understand their struggles and can blow off steam without feeling judged.

God willing, I’ll get both.
They are working on it. They literally have a way of working on it. Great empathy you have.

3·29 days agoSome companies have too much management. I don’t know if this is the case with Patreon. Are they removing needless mangement? Or will they remove important cogs, realise their mistake and need to outsource to fill the cracks later on? Only time will tell. However, at least they have a pretty good package for letting people go.
This is exactly how my brain works too. I would have done the same thing and just thought “boy, this harness kinda’ sucks”
It’s sad that seeking out like minded people who share your values and hobbies is to be mocked. Men go, create a gym for other guys to enjoy a space where they can work on themselves and not to oggle women is a bad thing?

Late Stage Capitalism@lemmy.world•In the United States, roughly 30% to 40% of the entire food supply goes uneaten and they'll fire your ass if you try and take any of it home
3·29 days agoWhat we need are changes to health and safety laws. It’s VERY hard to donate food at times. All it takes is one asshole suing a store, or company or a person to spook off any food donations. If you don’t follow all the rules on traceability, regulatory checks on dates and transport it in a certain way, you open yourself up to a lawsuit. It’s legal suicide to most companies. Please look up legislation on food health and safety and talk to your local MP (or whatever the American version is).
I work in my mother in laws church food program and know how hard it is for places to actually donate food.

41·29 days agoToo old? Dude, that’s from the Sims 2.

I mean, yay? But it’s still useless if I buy jeans for £80 that still rip in 6 months. Shoes for £100 that last the same as a cheap pair from Aldi. Until the quality of clothes increase, this doesn’t help anyone.
