What’s political about gays
That’s how /pol/ (and by extension, Bannon/Epstein/some stormfront users) were able to convince a generation of men to police the internet on their behalf. Sounds very convincing to centrists and previously apolitical people, had some success already in Hungary by the 2010s (which ended with Fidesz calling the resulting as apolitical art as humanly possible as “valueless, without any meaning”), and was the thing that ultimately convinced a generation of gamers to start a “consumer revolt” that was actually a right wing astroturf campaign.
Yeah, this unfortunately. It all goes downhill from there
Not enough tongue, draw them kissing harder.
“the risk isn’t worth it” lowkey sounds like a threat.
That’s it dagnabbit! I’ve had it!!!
Next time I’m voting for the kissing demons party!
Awesome comic, my only nitpick is the lower-left blue heart somewhat out of place (clothing patch?), otherwise very expressive for only 2 panels with faces
Protest public displays of affection would be the #1 thing I’d miss if homophobia disappears (it’s worth it of course, just like I wouldn’t want anyone to get fired at no matter how cool they might look dodging bullets)
I hate these types of comics.
To me it’s just “thing happened to author” rather than telling a story or something people can relate to.
I’m assuming a lot of people can relate to having bigotry thrown their way.
What are you on about? This tells a story and is also something people can relate to.
They got a DM, wow!
How does translate into making a comic about getting a DM?
I’m not seeing it, I got 3 replies to my comment but didn’t consider turning it into a comic. I think if I did then people would also react with a “who cares?” shrug.
Your lack of creativity isn’t anyone elses problem mate. The comic creator opted to make art from conflict, and did so in a way that resonances with people, just not with you.
The fact that it doesnt work for you is fine, but also doesnt merit critizism. A 4 panel web comic not blowing you away with the plotting and story it wasent trying to have is not some stunning insight.
“Its talking about something I dont care about and lacks something I want!”
“Who cares?” indeed.
For lack of creativity I commented questioning the reason.
Fans plugged their ears and beat their chest it was gay.
But nothing they said could sweeten.
This seems like a waste of my day.
Wow, I channeled this into art for you. Even reading that I still question what’s the point?
If you want another.
Racists and homophobes exist.
It’s not a revelation to insist.
Educate people about a better life.
Instead of living in strife.
the author doesn’t owe you any type of comic my guy 😭
Where did I ask for an apology?
deleted by creator
Well someone is running out of ideas already
Those “keep politics out of x” is so ridiculously ignorant. As if self-censorship is politically neutral 🤦♂️ As if avoiding LGBT representation is neutral. Just wait until they discover that Star Wars is political and has always been 😂
My dad loves to say “I hate how political movies are now”, and I’m just like “How many movies have you made me sit through over the years where the main takeaway is ‘The US military and government and all of their policies are awesome and correct.’”
I mean… it’s actually kind of disturbing how many there are, The green Berets, Top Gun, Transformers, Black hawk down, some grey area ones like saving private ryan and similar.
Of course, you’d get the other side of the coin with say movies like rambo, apacalypse now Born on the fourth of july etc…

Oh, you mean things that are unironically used as pro-America media by people that have 0 ability to see a political message? The same people that told RATM that they were good before they became political in 2016 (lmao)
Don’t forget how many republican candidates that would play “born in the USA” as a patriotic song
Didn’t the first(?) (The one where the main guy finds Bumblebee) movie have the government as the secondary bad guys?
And where has that mentality been since?
Not sure. It’s been a while since I watched a transformers movie.
Just saw Rambo for the first time. Sylvester Stallone was so good in that PTSD scene at the end.
Then it was First Blood.
For how much conservatives hate anything LGBTQ showing up in movies, it’s weird that they love Top Gun so much. That movie is probably the most homosexual piece of media I’ve ever had to witness, and I’ve enjoyed quite a bit of gay porn in my days.
Also the Dick Wolf copagenda universe.
I actually liked when Stabler was on SVU way back when - the name being at complete odds with the character’s personality alone was pure genius.
Conservatives tend to be some mix of stupid, cruel, and willfully ignorant. You have to be or the worldview falls apart.
Keep politics out of Wolfenstein
never heard of star wars, but i agree on the rest
never heard of star wars
But I’m sure you heard of it’s main protagonist, Captain Kirk
That’s star trek. Star wars is the one where the kid finds the alien and helps him get back home.
That’s ET, Star Wars is where group scientists in Artactica find an alien organism that can imitate whatever it absorbs.
Thst’s The Thing, Star Wars is when a mining crew discover a new and deadly alien organism.
That’s The Thing. Star Wars is with the time travelling british twink.
That’s Doctor Who. Star Wars is the one with the computer that says “I’m afraid I can’t do that, Dave” and starts murdering the crew.
That’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. Star Wars is the one where a robot goes back in time to kill a lady before she gives birth to the leader of a resistance movement.
hey, we’re talking about Kirk now. This is a Kirk thread now. /s
There’s only one captain of my heart

the best scene is when he pulls the Picard Maneuver
According to Lucas the rebel alliance was based on the Vietcong.

That’s so interesting. I heard in the post-red scare era a lot of left political commentators turned to sci-fi because it allowed them to commentate without being censored.
Art can defeat the state!
Some has some pretty bad ironic concepts though. Like the expanse in my opinion was a strong version of that. In watching it it really showed the capitalism hell, with the belt clearly representing some level of the working class/the global south.
To me the great irony of it though was after it got canceled, Jeff Bezos personally took towards buying the show and using amazon prime to keep it going.
Not only the Belters. The part where they show the city around the UN building does it too.
that was St.Ronald Reagan’s boondoggle plan to protect USA from Commie missiles
“It’s not politics if it’s my politics!”
Haha! You’ve fallen for my bait! Now there will be even MORE hot Yuri action.

Has love always been political? 🥺
If you’re not straight and cis? Yes.
If you’re straight and CIS? Yes.
Remember,
There’s only two genders: male and political. There’s only two races: white and political. There’s only two sexualities: straight and political There’s only two religions: Christian and political.
According to that I’m 75% apolitical. My family and friends will be so relieved to hear that.
Dang, I’m apolitical 😞
OH SHIT! We’ve had a breach! Femcel memes have started leaking out!

Reverse psychology 101
Fuck yeah
